May 30th 1999 | It's alive! Alive! :-) This page hasn't been updated in
SO long, and I am perfectly well aware of it. Many kind people have written me,
asking whether I lost interest or simply disappeared. Believe me, neither is
the case - my interest in animation is still as strong as ever. Galaxy Rangers
is just one of my most beloved series. I don't think I'll be changing much of
the page for the time being though. Maybe sometime, when I have time and get a
very nostalgic backlash, I will update and finish the episode guide. I will
keep the links up to date though. That is the least I can do. As it seems that one of the server I had stored the Goose page, episode guide and sounds on has deleted my account, I have shifted these pages. They should now be working. My thanks to all the people who pointed it out to me, and who have been waiting so long to see them. I am indeed lazy. :-) Have fun! |
December 3rd 1997 | Did I just mention long breaks? Tee-hee. Well, I'm a
busy little ranger,
so please bear with me. But WOW!!!, my page counter reached
1500 not so long ago.
Break out the champagne and Andorian ale. Or was that Romulan? :-) I fixed my links page today. Pay attention to the new laserdisc company I turned up. Yes, that's right, they do have the sought after "Tower of Combat" LD. I know this for a fact, because I bought one. :-) I cannot make grabs yet, since my TV card doesn't like NTSC. Maybe I can convince it sometime. Maybe it's an acquired taste. Like fine wine or caviar. :-) |
August 21st 1997 | Okay, so it was a long break... :-) This page will
undergo serious revision in the
next few days, so do drop by frequently. Niko's page
now contains images from Ariel, there is a new
Goose
a> pic and the
episo
de guide got updated a bit. I'd like to thank
Christian Grothoff now for providing me with my first intact copy of Traash. I
missed that episode everytime, it
was like a curse. Thank you very much. This reminds me. A lot of people have written me looking for VIDEOS. Sorry, but I live in Europe, and I cannot copy to the US standart. If you are from America, I cannot help you. You may e-mail me anyway of course, just don't get your hopes up. I would love to dub you episodes, but I can only do so if you live in Europe, or if you can handle PAL. I will try to assemble a page on how to get your collection completed in the near future. Maybe I can point you to some other people who can be of help. Sorry. |
July 9th 1997 | YESSSS! Vacation! Starting with Thursday, I'm out of
country for three weeks, so the
page will stay as it is for now. This time will give those who don't have the
Crescendo Plug-in
enough time to upgrade their browsers. The plug-in plays background midis in
both Netscape and Internet Explorer,
so those who hate Microsoft will finally get to hear Stefan's little beauties.
The program isn't large, so
don't worry about HD space. If your midis sound like your soundcard has hick-ups (in other words: they sound like monotone beeping), then you don't have a wavetable soundcard. You can install Wingroove to simulate one on your system though, it's a real treat. The only requirements are a 486 DX or higher, 2 MB free space on your harddisk (No, that's not the size of the download, it comes compressed), and either Windows 3.1 or 95. Those who'd like to hear more sounds, please bear with me as I still haven't added a graphic link to my main page! You can hear excerpts from the German episode "Scarecrow's Revenge" here a>. Well then, see you in August then, eh? :-) |
July 3rd 1997 | I added Rei's homepage to my Links Page today. He's got a killer version of Psychocrystal for download, so everyone pay him a visit! If you'd like to meet me and other Rangers on IRC (we're all nice people, really!), then stock up on coffee and head over here. |
up to July 1st 1997 | Okay, I'll admit it, I've been quite lazy with updating
this baby. Throughout the last weeks, a lot of small
changes have been taking place here. For once, my page now has background
midis! Yup, thanks to Rei
and
midi master Stefan, both ending
themes can now be heard as backgrounds on the Main
Page and on my Epis
ode Guide, but only if you browse with Internet Explorer. Sorry, there is
no
general tag for playing midis with both Netscape and Explorer, unless I make
use of a plug-in like Crescendo. Please tell me if you'd prefer it this
way. There's also a new link on Geezee's page, one that has the opening and the themesongs for download as wave files. Is that cool or what? :-))) |
June 1st 1997 | Today, Sasha discovered... her soundblaster! This is not visible on the main page yet, as I'm really too tired to alter the layout yet again at the moment. But if you click here a>, you can go to my brandnew sound page, which has sound files and pictures from "Scarecrow's Revenge". I also updated my episo de guide up to "The Axe". |
May 29th 1997 | IIIIII'M BACK! :-) I took some much-needed shoreleave
and now that school is finished,
I even got a small job at a merchandise store. What better place to spend your
working hours, eh? I've revived
my old tapes again and continued with updating my episode guide.
Not many new pics so far, but it certainly won't be long until an episode with
good animation gets its turn again. Until then, maybe some
of you can figure out the answer to this question: Is it
possible for Goose to get a suntan? Think about it, it's
a rather tricky concept. :-) The event of the week though MUST be this one: There are more GR sounds on the net now! Megaman was a dearie and made wavs out of "Battle of the Bandits", which we all know brought us such hit songs as "Psychocrystal", "Magic's Forever" and the extended version of the opening song. Check this link out! It's nearly too cool to download! |
May 8th 1997 | The shame! The shame! I shall roast in a psychocrypt
for the rest of my puny little life!
In a moment of abysmal brain activity, I completely forgot to mention Jim,
the most faithful Niko drooler on the face of the planet. Jim, the one who
never ceases to bombard me with mail saying how
he'd marry her in an instant. Jim, whose cries of joy over new pics can be
heard over the atlantic as far away as here if you
listen closely. I hope he forgives me my blasphemy. :-) All hail Sir Jim! So,
all you other Niko fetishists, now you know who to
mail to to
have your sighs fall on understanding ears... ;-) Not that I don't understand,
by all means, she's one fine spunky lady. Was that sufficient Jim? :-) To reward my tortured soul, my webcounter now reached the 100-mark! Get out those Whiskey bottles folks! |
May 7th 1997 | Would you believe it? I just got MORE SPACE! That's
right, I'm now more dangerous
than ever - so prepare for a major picture onslaught. My heartfelt thanks go to
Matthias, who rented a big
chunk of his private webspace to me. You'll notice the redesign of the character pages: The images are now sorted by episode, and you can read all about the plot in my new episode guide. It's far from complete, but spans most of the episodes I took pictures from. Don't be surprised if your old bookmark to Goose's Page turns up blank. It now resides elsewhere for space reasons, Just reroute through here. Be warned, I shamelessly took advantage of all those bytes and uploaded quite a few yummy pics there. I've gotten loads of e-mail from hormone-plagued guys drooling about Niko, so it's time I did something for the ladies. Tell me what you think. Shera suggested to me that I should bullet the new images on my pages. I took that to heart and asked Doc to lend me one of his tweakers. So from now on, Pathfinder here will show you the way. |
May 1st 1997 | I bribed Geezee into counting the visitors to this page from today on. He has now taken on his job at my main page. I also might get some more MBs for my pictures soon! Happyhappyjoyjoy (TM)! Nothing's settled yet, but the negotiations look promising. :-) |
April 30th 1997 | Major overhaul time! The deleted pics have been put into cryo, and are sleeping like babies. Look for more pictures on the character pages, and especially this one of Zach's internal bionics, which I made with the same techniques I used in my widescreen image. |
April 28th 1997 | Just a few small changes to the main page. I now officially state that I have
loads of time on my hands |
April 26th 1997 | First, an important announcement: I will
have to take
some of the pictures offline again soon! There just isn't enough space anymore.
I'll keep my favorites. I'll dump the
others to make room for new ones. This will probably happen on TUESDAY. Maybe I'll keep
a thumbnail gallery for the RIPs, so if you want any of those later, I can send
them to you in private e-mail.
I also had to refine the fineprint on my
main page a little. I was asked today whether I'd mind if my collages
are used in other pages. I'm afraid that I would. These babies are the
personal touch of this page, and they're the one thing that I'd like to
exclusively remain
here. Everything else, including the Queenie
sticker, is free.
This does not mean that you cannot download them. Just don't use them on your
webpages please.
|
April 23rd 1997 | It's alive! Alive! Christy has started to make her own page as well now. Kudos! You can get there through my links page. What else is new? Ah yes, I added this little beauty to the Goose section, and added some grabs to Doc's. |
April 21st/ April 22nd 1997 |
Niko's no longer alone in here - now Goose a> has his own page, too. What better way to keep her company, he? I'm not quite sure whether I'm satisfied with the collage yet, so I might change it once I make more screengrabs. I'm very proud of Zach`s collage though. Seems I work best during nightshifts. :-) The link to Doc's site is also working now, but as with Zach, there's not much on it yet. I slowly can't avoid noticing that 1MB is NOT much space to host a picture archive, since I've already got half of it filled. Oh well... I nevertheless added another picture from "One Million Emotions" to Niko's site. And to give all those marvellous people out there their due credit, my links page is now fully operational! |
April 20th 1997 | Yahoooo! My page is up! Happyhappyjoyjoy (TM)! :-) Actually, I should have done some serious learning for my finals, but what the heck? I just felt like doing it! So far, there's only the main page and 11 pictures of Niko in here, but I promise it'll grow. |
